Lori has been CrossFitting for two years and is a regular at the 6 am Rooster Class. Lori sat down for Q&A last Friday and tolerated my endless questions following a very tough WOD.

What is your favorite WOD?
Lori: I like this one! I guess whichever one is the current one.

What is your least favorite WOD?
I like them all!

Why did you start CrossFit?
It is the best, THE BEST, way to stay in shape.

Tell me about your fitness background.
I’ve been active all of my life, whether it was aerobics, Pilates, etc. I started CrossFit a couple of years ago when it was a “bootcamp”.

The Roosters are really lively for 6 am! What is the 6 am class really like?
AWESOME! I like coming at 6 am, and I’m done for the day!

Have you noticed anything different about yourself since you’ve been CrossFitting?Oh yes! I’m much stronger! I find myself picking up groceries the proper way! I can lift things and move things easier than I ever had been able to.

Oh, and you know what else I love about CrossFit Seven? You guys are great about diet, telling us what to eat and giving us ideas with food!

Lori and I then ventured off into a great Zone/Paleo diet discussion! An outstanding resource to start Zone/Paleo is CrossFit Journal issue 21 .

(If you want more information on diet/Zone/Paleo, or if you are wanting to tweak your diet because you are tired, just not feeling well, or whatever your case may be, let any of the trainers know, and we can help you out!)

Nice to meet you Lori! Some of you Roosters should come to one of the afternoon classes sometime so we can meet you in person. I would say we would come to the 6am, but lets be honest here.

I am guessing you need to tag this so Lori shows up in the Member section. Or, did you leave her out intentionally? 😉

PAUKUNE!!! I knew it would take something like this to bring you out of retirement (I mean rehab). SANK thanks for giving me an “after” shot….it definitely is better than the “before”!!! See you guys at sunrise ~ (or 5 minutes after)
