The CrossFit Games Open 2012

“This is your CrossFit Open. Don’t let it drive you. Pop the clutch. Grab the wheel. Decide what it means to you and where you will drive. 3 more days to set your course.”

The Games season is an exciting time in CrossFit!! The first WOD will be released Wednesday night and must be completed by all CF7 team members by Sunday night. At the end of five weeks, the top three men and top three women will make the team that advances to Regionals….

…But in order to get to Regionals, our entire team has to work together to win/earn a spot. Over the next five weeks, we all must push each other to get every rep, every minute off the clock, every task completed in order for our team to be in the top 30 teams in our region. The fun comes in the discovery of just how far you can push yourself beyond what you thought possible.

We will have Games WODs on Saturdays after the 9am class. Each athlete who competes will be judged and scored based on their performance. Please come and cheer for your friends and encourage your CF7 team!!!

If you have not registered, you still have time to get on the team. CLICK HERE to register!!! If you are on the fence about it, or you think you aren’t “Games worthy”, get off the fence and SIGN UP. We need you to help our team get in the top 30. So sign up. πŸ™‚

If you are registered, it’s a good idea to read through the Official Games Rule Book.

When we first got the ropes, the first person I saw climb them was Andy Platt, and when he got to the top, he didn’t have a plan to get down, so he slid all the way down (and then screamed like a girl from the rope burns). I haven’t ever forgotten it, and rope climbs have always kind of scared me…..today was first WOD I did with rope climbs and did all of the rope climbs, so that was pretty exciting! Not sure of my exact time – it was 25 something, but that’s ok – I got the rope climbs today!! Yay!!

Oh and BTW, when you put your wallballs back on the shelf, avoid the red bucket and fuzzy taco cup. I didn’t know they were full of water, and had a small water accident…

For those who registered in the Open please consider adding a picture to your profile. As it stands right now it looks like we are a bunch of Bozos. πŸ˜‰
