Where did my body come from?, Elisabeth Akinwale

My friend Jeremy wrote recently about his experience competing in the CrossFit Regionals as an individual competitor, and what I love most about his blog is this video:

My favorite part of Jeremy’s video isn’t the 30 unbroken push presses, though that is completely awesome. It’s watching all of his friends at the end cheering and celebrating his win. When any one of us competes, we have a group of people standing behind us, willing us to win and agonizing through every WOD. We’ve all been in Jeremy’s shoes, completely gassed, trying to will yourself to push to the finish line and bury the thoughts in your mind that are yelling at your body to “STOP!”.

Lucky for us, in CrossFit whether we are in the gym on a daily WOD or at the CrossFit Games, there is always someone there to push you, to help you race to the end.

Pretty sore from MURPH yesterday, like I don’t want to bend my arms sore. It was funny in the middle of MURPH when I was completely gassed, Kelly, Angie, the Platt kids, Jarin and Scott all gave me what I needed to be pushed over the finish line. I lived out exactly what I wrote above (and I write all of the blogs on Sundays, so it was really funny timing!). I LOVE LOVE LOVE CrossFit Seven and the people here!

Did some light work at Fire Base Apache today – c&j practice, some rowing and 50 burpees for time. Nothing fancy, just working out soreness.
