Speaking of The Open, from today forward, know that every single rep you do counts. I was reminded of that on Saturday when we were talking about one of the WODs last year that included “Karen”+double-unders+muscle ups. Megan commented on Saturday during the Open last year, 53 of her wallballs were no-repped and how frustrating it was for her to have to do 203 reps to get 150 “good” reps.
A word of advice: Do not wait until The Open WODs to start making every single one of your reps a clean rep that will count. You may not even know that your squat isn’t deep enough, or your chin didn’t clear the pull-up bar. Ask a coach to watch your movements and make your corrections now so that you will avoid the no-rep later. Hold yourself to a higher standard and complete each movement with full range of motion – the fastest time on the board doesn’t mean anything if your reps don’t count.
