U.S. Army Specialist David E. Hickman, 23, of Greensboro, North Carolina, assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, based in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, died on November 14, 2011, in Baghdad, Iraq, from wounds suffered when insurgents detonated an improvised explosive device near his vehicle. He is survived by his wife Calli, parents David and Veronica, and brother Devon.

The Open starts TOMORROW!!! Who is excited????

This year, each Open workout will be announced LIVE from a different affiliate. Starting March 6, head to the Games site each Wednesday at 5 p.m. PT to see the announcement and then watch two of CrossFit’s top athletes take on the workout and post the first official scores.

Week 1 will feature Dan Bailey and Scott Panchik. Bailey was a top contender in the Open and finished sixth place at the Games last year. Panchik won the infamous burpee workout last year and finished fourth place at the Games. The announcement and workout will be streamed from CrossFit Vitality in Concord, N.C.

    Zeus was rough: 28:20 at 190# BW also had to use the Dyne both times due to rower backup

    2/3 Zeus. I finished it. Not sure about time because I had to go re-setup my squat rack. With all that mess, it was a little over 30 minutes.
