Last week, we talked about developing the bottom position in your Olympic lifts. Driving under the bar takes skill, patience and a junkyard dog attitude (as Coach B would say!). More often than not, our mind gets in the way, and we mess the lift up by over thinking it.

So let’s simplify it all a little bit.

To get to this position, drive your butt to your heels. That’s all you have to think about.

If you drive your butt to your heels, your torso will be in the correct position, and the weight cannot pull you forward. Don’t think about it – just do it. Drive your butt to your heels.

    Worked up to 175 complex and 225 back squat. Tiring.
