Q. What is CrossFit?
A. CrossFit, put simply, is an exercise routine/lifestyle that is guaranteed to take you beyond your previous notions of what being “fit” could be… and, have an absolute blast in the process. Every day, there is a new “Workout of the Day” (WOD) posted and each class completes together.
Q. How long has CrossFit Seven been around?
A. We opened in 2009 as one of the first three affiliates in Fort Worth. Our coaches have a wealth of knowledge and experience, and our gym is a great community to be a part of!
Q. What is the difference between a WOD, LEANFIT, and DE?
A. We have three different programs to suit your particular fitness needs. The WOD is a more traditional CrossFit workout that generally includes a strength component and heavier weighted movements, as well as gymnastics and body weight exercises. This program is designed for the more competitive CrossFit athlete.
LEANFIT consists of lighter weights and more body weight exercises; don’t be fooled, it’s not any easier than the WOD! It tests a different pathway and is more metcon intensive. LEANFIT is designed for athletes who want to stay lean and fast and is a great program for beginning CrossFit athletes too.
Dynamic Endurance, DE, is designed with the runner/endurance athlete in mind. These workouts often incorporate longer runs/rows and are of longer duration. They will help prepare athletes for their next race!
It is important to note, you will only complete one of these each day. You will achieve the best results when you follow the same program for several months, rather than cherry picking the exercises you like the most.
Q. What is the class schedule?
A. CLICK HERE for the CrossFit Seven class schedule. You can attend any class time that fits into your schedule. Each class begins with the coach going over all movement standards. Athletes are given time to warm up, and when the clock begins, everyone starts together.
Q. What is a ….. thruster/clean/snatch/wall ball? What if I can’t do a pull-up?
A. If you see something in the daily WOD that you aren’t sure of or haven’t done before, don’t worry! Our coaches will teach you everything you need to know in order to move safely and have fun in the WOD! Every workout is scalable to fit your individual fitness needs. You will never be encouraged to do anything that makes you uncomfortable or unsafe (i.e., lifting more weight than technique allows). Our number one goal is for you to have fun in the CrossFit experience and stay safe!
Q. I’m traveling to Fort Worth – can I drop in?
A. Absolutely! We have several athletes who visit us regularly from out-of-town. There is a $10 drop in fee, and you can attend any class that fits your schedule.
Q. How do I sign up and pay?
A. You can pay each month by check or credit card draft. Please read the credit card draft policy before signing up. There are no contracts or joining fees. You pay as you go.
